Practice experience
Since 1986, he has served for ten years in the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation and the Chinese Embassy in Geneva, engaged in negotiations on accession to the WTO, and served as the Deputy Director of the WTO Division. After resigning, he worked as a practicing lawyer in Brussels for seven years, and returned to China to join Gaopeng Law Firm in 2003. He has been engaged in international trade legal matters related to the WTO, representing enterprises in over 100 anti-dumping and countervailing investigations initiated by various countries. As a lawyer of the Chinese government, he sued the EU in the WTO for anti-dumping cases related to fasteners, and won the lawsuit for nearly eight years. He has published dozens of professional papers on international trade law issues at home and abroad, and individual papers have been included in textbooks of American law schools. In 2015, as a visiting professor, he taught international trade law at the University of Missouri, Kansas Law School.
