Director Gao Peng, Lawyer Wang Lei, appointed as an arbitrator of Hainan International Arbitration Court

Recently, Hainan International Arbitration Court announced that the fifth meeting of the first council of Hainan International Arbitration Court approved the "List of Proposed Additional Arbitrators for 2024" and decided to hire 200 additional arbitrators. Lawyer Wang Lei, the director of Gaopeng Law Firm, has been appointed as an arbitrator of Hainan International Arbitration Court.

The Hainan International Arbitration Court (Hainan Arbitration Commission) is the only civil and commercial arbitration institution in Hainan Province established by the People's Government of Hainan Province on May 21, 1996 in accordance with the law. It is the only provincial-level arbitration institution outside of the four municipalities directly under the central government in China; It is also the second international arbitration institution in China to establish a corporate governance mechanism with the Council as the core, following the Shenzhen International Arbitration Court. It is progressiveness in system innovation nationwide.


The reform of appointing arbitrators is an important part of the numerous institutional reforms and innovations of Hainan International Arbitration Court. In order to continuously improve the quality of arbitration, Hainan International Arbitration Court has established an open talent introduction mechanism and publicly selects high-level talents with both moral and legal education and proficient business skills to serve as leaders and arbitrators nationwide.
