Invited by China University of Political Science and Law(CUPL),Lawyer Wang Lei,a senior partner and Director of Gaopeng&Partners,gave a special lecture titled“Like a Hot Wind Spatters Raindrops I Discuss the Trade,Cold-eyed I Survey the Rules beyond the Seas”in the“Auditorium of International Law”on April 3,2018,on the topic of the recent high-profile China-U.S.trade friction.In combination with over 30-year work experience,he discussed the international trade rules and the applications of the rules.

Lawyer Wang analyzed the underlying reasons in detail of the recent China-U.S.trade friction,discussed the relevant WTO rules and the corresponding US trade laws,and further discussed the multi-bilateral mechanism for dispute resolution in the teacher-student interactive question-and-answer session.The lecture was highlighted by Lawyer Wang’s profound and professional presentation and the passion of graduate students of CUPL in seeking the knowledge with their active participation and questioning.
