On the afternoon of April 18th,the appointment ceremony of legal advisers to the Jing'an District Government of Shanghai was solemnly held in the multi-function hall of the district government.Comrade Lu Xiaodong,the governor of Jing'an District,as well as members of the district government team,key principals of various commissions,bureaus,and subdistricts,as well as legal cadres,attended the appointment ceremony.A total of 12 lawyers,including Xie Xiangyang,the director of Gaopeng(Shanghai)Law Firm,were officially appointed as legal advisers to the Jing'an District Government.

On March 30,2016,the ninth National Lawyers'Congress,the highest level conference of the Chinese lawyer industry,was held in the Great Hall of the People.354 lawyers attended the conference as representatives of more than 24000 law firms and 300000 lawyers nationwide.Meng Jianzhu,member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of the Political and Legal Commission of the Central Committee,Guo Shengkun,Minister of Public Security,Zhou Qiang,President of the Supreme People's Court,Cao Jianming,Procurator General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate,and Wu Aiying,Minister of Justice,attended the meeting.The conference recognized 200 outstanding lawyers nationwide,and Xie Xiangyang,a senior partner of Gaopeng(Shanghai)Law Firm,won this honor.The current selection(2011-2014)is characterized by the breadth and typicality of lawyer representatives,and the fierce competition.It can be regarded as the highest official honor of the Chinese lawyer industry.
