In order to scientifically evaluate the quality of legal aid cases,establish and improve relevant evaluation systems,and better serve vulnerable groups in society,the Ministry of Justice plans to implement a nationwide peer evaluation mechanism for the quality of legal aid cases,with Nanjing and Hangzhou selected as pilot cities.On October 16th,17th,and 18th,the Ministry of Justice held a peer assessment seminar on the quality of legal aid cases in Nanjing,where senior partners of Gaopeng(Nanjing)Institute,Lawyer Cai Xiang and Lawyer Liu Ruxiang,were invited to participate.

Participants in this seminar include:Deputy Director Zheng Ziming of the Legal Aid Center of the Ministry of Justice,Director He Chunyun,Director Zhang Mei of the Provincial Legal Aid Center,Deputy Director Xu Min,Deputy Director Wang Xinglu of the Municipal Bureau of Justice,Director Chen Xuandong of the Municipal Legal Aid Center,President Xue Jimin of the Municipal Lawyers Association,and 10 well-known lawyers in various professional fields.

Ten lawyers,including two senior partners of the Gaopeng(Nanjing)Institute,conducted on-site evaluations of completed legal aid files against the ten indicator system evaluation criteria,discussed the issues encountered during the evaluation process item by item,offered suggestions,and expressed their opinions,striving to maximize the professionalism and operability of the evaluation criteria,and doing a good job in our city's national pilot work,To provide reference and reference for the Ministry of Justice to promote peer assessment of the quality of legal aid cases in the future.
