Interview transcript:

Q: The roots of professionalism often stem from a deep love for the field you are engaged in, as well as a strong curiosity and relentless exploration of the unknown world. Can you share with us your initial intention and motivation for entering the legal industry?

Answer: The path of becoming a lawyer can be said to stem from a persistent pursuit of fairness and justice, as well as an infinite love for the legal profession. I remember during my college years, I developed a strong interest in law and enjoyed studying various legal texts and cases, enjoying the process of solving problems through logical reasoning and factual analysis.

But in fact, I initially chose this industry because I was eager to achieve self breakthrough on a personal level. I used to have some social anxiety, often feeling nervous and blushing when communicating with strangers. This tension and discomfort made me feel out of place in many social situations, especially in jobs that require communication and collaboration with others, where I would feel immense pressure. This personality has caused me to encounter difficulties in many aspects, and I have realized that I must force myself to step out of my comfort zone. After graduation, I resolutely chose to work in a law firm and began my legal career. At the beginning, I also encountered many difficulties and challenges, such as the continuous updating of legal knowledge, the complexity of cases, and the high demands of clients. But I firmly believe that as long as I keep learning and accumulating, I can overcome these difficulties and become an excellent lawyer.

After delving into the industry, I discovered that being a lawyer is a profession full of both challenges and opportunities.

Every case is a new beginning, and every defense is a test of wisdom. This process of constantly facing new situations and solving new problems has kept me motivated to continue learning and making progress. At the same time, it is also a highly free profession where I can freely choose my areas of interest and cases, which provides me with great development space and creativity.

Having worked in the legal profession for many years, I can say that I have fulfilled my original intention of choosing this industry.

Not only have I achieved self breakthrough on a personal level, but I have also become a lawyer who can contribute to society on a professional level. Whenever I see myself fighting for the maximum legitimate rights and interests of my clients through my own efforts, I feel immensely proud and satisfied.

At the same time, this experience also made me deeply realize that every choice in life is full of possibilities and challenges. Only by bravely facing one's own shortcomings, constantly trying and breaking through, can one truly realize self-worth and grow. In the future, I will continue to cultivate and work diligently in this industry, using my professional knowledge and efforts to make more people in need feel fair and just under the protection of the law.

Q: There are many tracks in the legal industry. What are the reasons or opportunities that led you to choose to focus on your current field? Do you have anything you would like to share with everyone about the professional field you are currently working on and your future development direction?

Answer: The era when I worked was a high-speed period of urbanization in China, with a large number of real estate companies emerging and the demand for legal services increasing day by day. In recent years, with the gradual slowdown of urbanization and various impacts such as policy regulation, the demand for relevant legal services has decreased. Despite changes in the market environment, I still choose to continue to delve deeper into this field.

On the one hand, it stems from my strong interest in the field of law, and on the other hand, it is because I have accumulated rich practical experience in this field. In years of legal practice, I have found that I am more adept and efficient in providing professional legal services to clients when dealing with certain specific types of cases. This sense of achievement and deep understanding of legal knowledge have further strengthened my determination to conduct in-depth research and practice in this field.

With the continuous progress of society and the continuous improvement of the legal system, new laws, regulations, and judicial precedents continue to emerge, and legal affairs have become increasingly complex and diverse. These changes bring both challenges and opportunities. I believe that in the future, there will be more innovation and breakthroughs in the field of real estate law. I look forward to making new breakthroughs in this field and hope to work hand in hand with more peers, clients, and partners.

Q: How do you understand the concept of 'people are upright and have a refined career'? Do you think that maintaining integrity and excellent professional skills are equally important in the legal profession?

Answer: The concept of "integrity and excellence" literally means that a person should possess good character and excellent professional skills. However, when we delve deeper into this concept, we will find that its significance goes far beyond that.

Maintaining a humble and rigorous attitude in our actions is not only a necessary condition for the development of the legal industry, but also a direct reflection of our personal character and the fundamental basis for our foothold in society. At the same time, the continuous improvement and refinement of business capabilities reflect the professional competence of lawyers. They are interdependent and mutually reinforcing, together forming the core competitiveness of lawyers, and neither can be lacking.

Q: The satisfaction of the parties involved is the greatest comfort and success for lawyers. How do you understand and view this? How can we win the trust of customers in our daily work?

Answer: The essence of the parties entrusting lawyers is to seek legal solutions, and satisfaction comes from lawyers helping them solve problems through their professional abilities. For lawyers, true success lies in empowering clients with professionalism and defending the rule of law with ethics.

Lawyers should not break the law to please their clients, and client satisfaction should not be one-sided. Instead, it should be achieved through legal skills and humanized services, maximizing client interests within a compliant framework while conveying respect for the rule of law.

This balance not only shapes individual professional values, but also promotes the progress of the legal community. I believe that treating every customer with sincerity, professionalism, and responsibility can earn their trust and respect.

Question: There are no trivial matters in a case. Every case involves freedom and life, and every agency is related to the rights and interests of the parties involved. For lawyers, it is a proud thing to be able to use their professional knowledge to assist clients and truly protect their legitimate rights and interests. What do you think about this?

Answer: The core value and mission of the profession of lawyer is to fully protect the legitimate rights and interests of the parties through profound professional knowledge and skills. Every case, regardless of its size, carries significant meaning for the freedom, property, and even life of the parties involved. When handling cases, lawyers must conduct in-depth research and analysis of legal provisions, accurately grasp every detail of the case, in order to construct an effective and powerful defense or representation strategy.

When lawyers transform their legal knowledge and rich practical experience into tangible assistance to their clients, the value of lawyers is highlighted - not only as a professional achievement, but also as a powerful driving force for maintaining social fairness and justice.

True professional pride and pride come from using professional knowledge and skills to illuminate the path of others in difficult situations. Let the law no longer be a cold text, but a vivid barrier that can effectively protect everyone's rights.

Q: An excellent and valuable platform is crucial for every lawyer. What is your ideal law firm and what qualities do you possess before aspiring to become an outstanding partner and lawyer?

Answer: In my mind, an ideal law firm should be a place full of both challenges and opportunities. It not only needs to have strong business capabilities and abundant industry resources to undertake various complex and challenging cases, but also needs a working atmosphere of unity, mutual assistance, and open sharing; In terms of values, it is important to respect the independent judgment of lawyers while also taking on certain social responsibilities. At the same time, we should focus on innovation and progress, and keep up with the development of the times. Such a platform can provide lawyers with broad development opportunities, allowing every lawyer to grow and improve here.

Lawyer is a profession that requires carving value in time.

The growth trajectory of lawyers and the development logic of law firms are essentially continuous efforts to tackle the 'right but difficult things'. From evidence mining in individual cases to in-depth research at the forefront of the industry, from precise insights into customer needs to systematic construction of team capabilities, all projects that build core competitiveness cannot be rushed.

Slow is fast ", true excellence does not rely on instant bursts, but rather completes the transformation from quantity to quality in the sedimentation of time.

The glorious moments that illuminate your career are often hidden in the unattended late night desk. The repeated deliberation and careful consideration of words in the late night, as well as the rational arguments in court, will eventually become your recognition in the industry. Focusing on the accumulation of reputation behind each case, lawyers can only become truly qualified "legal professionals" when their professional abilities are deeply tied to customer value.

Being able to travel with Gao Peng and the 'Gao Peng people' is my greatest fortune. Here, we face challenges together, work hand in hand, constantly hone ourselves and enhance our professional abilities in every legal practice. The concept of 'integrity and professionalism' advocated by Gao Peng is not only a high standard requirement for the personal ethics and professional abilities of lawyers, but also a shared set of values and codes of conduct that our team follows. It inspires us to constantly move forward, pursue excellence, provide clients with the highest quality legal services, and also contribute our strength to the healthy development of the legal industry.

Q: What do you think are the most essential elements to become an excellent and respected professional lawyer? What is the biggest difference between becoming a lawyer and being an excellent 'good lawyer'? Do you have any special advice for future practitioners and young lawyers who are currently practicing?

Answer: To become an excellent and respected professional lawyer, I believe the primary element is professional competence, which includes a solid foundation of legal knowledge, sharp logical thinking ability, and rich practical experience.

Law is a tool, but the mission of a lawyer is to safeguard fairness and rights.

As a professional lawyer, one should not only have profound expertise, but also be honest and upright, open to clients, and respectful of the law. The law is cold, but lawyers should have warmth. An excellent lawyer should not only pursue a winning outcome, but also pay attention to fairness and justice in the process, understand the difficulties and demands of the parties, and truly think from their perspective.

True excellence is the dual cultivation of professional ability and professional character, which is the original intention and direction that lawyers should adhere to.

For future practitioners and young lawyers who are currently practicing, I suggest that everyone first establish their own professional philosophy and beliefs, clarify their original intention and mission as lawyers. At the same time, rejecting the "assembly line thinking" to form one's own methodology, persevering in the field, and exhaustively studying details. Continuously learn and summarize in practice, accumulate professional reputation, cherish every commission, and always maintain the original intention towards the law, clients, and profession.
