Several lawyers appointed by Gao Peng as arbitrators of the Shanghai Arbitration Commission

Recently, after deliberation and approval at the first plenary session of the new (seventh) session of the Shanghai Arbitration Commission in 2024, the new version of the "Arbitrator Roster" of the Shanghai Arbitration Commission, consisting of 1991 arbitrators, will be put into use on October 1, 2024. Cao Li, Director of the Nanjing Office of Gaopeng Law Firm, and Li Peng and Cai Shiming, Partners of the Shanghai Office, have been appointed as arbitrators for the 7th session of the Shanghai Arbitration Commission.
The Shanghai Arbitration Commission was established on September 18, 1995, by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government in accordance with the law. It is one of the first pilot arbitration institutions established in China. Since its establishment, it has always adhered to the concept of independence, impartiality, professionalism, and efficiency, providing high-quality arbitration services for domestic and foreign commercial entities. It is one of the international commercial arbitration institutions that have settled in the "one-stop" diversified international commercial dispute resolution mechanism of the International Commercial Court of the Supreme People's Court, a member of the Asia Pacific arbitration organization, and has been awarded the "Top 10 Arbitration Institutions in China" and "Top 10 Arbitration Institutions for Foreign related Services" in the Third Arbitration Credibility Assessment. It has also obtained observer seats in the First and Sixth Working Groups of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law and special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
