On February 24, 2024, the second member conference of the Lawyer Law Research Association of the China Law Society was held in Beijing. Nearly 200 experts, scholars, and legal practitioners from universities, research institutions, judicial institutions, law firms, and other institutions across the country participated in this conference. The meeting elected a new council of the Lawyers and Law Research Association of the China Law Society. Lawyer Cao Li, Director of Gaopeng (Nanjing) Law Firm, and Lawyer Li Jun, Senior Partner of Gaopeng Law Firm's Beijing General Office, were invited to attend and were elected as members of the second council of the research association. Wang Qijiang, member of the Party Group and Vice President of the China Law Society, Wang Ruihe, member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, member of the Constitution and Law Committee of the National People's Congress, and Vice Chairman of the Legal Work Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Wang Zhenjiang, member of the Party Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Justice, and Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Lawyers Industry, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Wang Qijiang, Vice President of the China Law Society and Global Chairman of Jindu Law Firm Wang Junfeng, President of the First Council of the Lawyers and Law Research Association of the China Law Society, presided over the opening ceremony. After the opening ceremony, in accordance with the approval decision of the China Law Society, the member meeting and party member meeting of the Lawyers and Law Research Association of the China Law Society were successively held, as well as the first meeting of the second council. After a vote, Comrade Han Xiaowu was elected as the President of the Second Council of the Lawyers and Law Research Association of the Chinese Law Society. After his election, President Han Xiaowu delivered a speech. He first expressed sincere gratitude to all parties involved. He pointed out that in the future, the work of the research association should have a clear political stance, focus on its main business, conduct research solidly, and strictly abide by the rules; I hope that all colleagues of the second council will continue to work hard and strive to reach new heights in political construction, team building, academic development, and serving the construction of the rule of law in China.

The Lawyer Law Research Association of the China Law Society was established in 2014. It is a national legal social organization under the supervision of the China Law Society, dedicated to researching major theoretical and practical issues in lawyer law and the lawyer system. This conference brings together legal elites from all over the country, not only providing a platform for legal professionals to exchange and learn, but also injecting new vitality into the process of promoting China's rule of law construction.
