Recently,the first DRAA Group Procurement Negotiation Workshop sponsored by the Digital Resource Acquisition Alliance of University Libraries(DRAA)and co sponsored by the China Higher Education Document Assurance System(CALIS)Management Center and Peking University Library was held in Peking University Library.Lawyer Jiang Liyong,Senior Partner of Gaopeng Law Firm,was invited to participate in the event as one of the keynote speakers.
At the meeting,lawyer Jiang Liyong analyzed legal issues such as contract review,legal risks,and antitrust based on DRAA's work specifications and database procurement contract schemes,and put forward constructive opinions on DRAA Group's procurement work.
This seminar was hosted by three DRAA directors,namely,Bie Liqian,Deputy Librarian of Peking University Library,Xu Wei,Deputy Librarian of China Agricultural University Library,Wang Jinling,Deputy Librarian of Peking University Medical Library,and Shao Min,Deputy Librarian of DRAA and Deputy Librarian of Tsinghua University Library.A total of 62 representatives from DRAA governing bodies,leading bodies,negotiating groups,member bodies,DRAA Group procurement staff,and agents from universities across the country attended the meeting.The participants generally expressed their long expectation for the content of this seminar and their great achievements,and believed that the content of the conference training and discussion would play an important guiding role in the future library digital resource procurement work based on their previous exploration and experience.
